Water Level Dip Meters, Borehole Dippers
We manufacture and supply borehole dippers, or Water Level Dip Meters, for measuring water levels in boreholes and water wells.
Our customers include water authorities, consultant engineers, borehole drillers, large estates, golf clubs and other similar organisations.
Using the built-in buzzer and LED, the surface level and the draw down of the borehole can be quickly and accurately measured. These units are built to high standards, with very rugged reels and high quality easy to read tapes, ensuring a long life – well over ten years for some of our customers now. The units are in regular use both in the UK and in many overseas countries
The Borehole Dippers come as either the Standard model, with a tape with of 10mm and a probe width of 17mm, or in a slim line version, with a tape width of 6.2mm and a probe width of 12mm. The slim line version is particularly useful where access to the borehole is limited, for example through narrow sounding tubes or small bolt holes.
The Borehole Dipper is now supplied with both Normal and Drawdown modes. The mode is selected using a knob on the front panel. In Normal mode – the unit is activated when the sensor is immersed in water. In Drawdown mode the sensor is activated when out of water and silent when in water. Drawdown mode is useful for pump and recovery tests.
In our experience, these units are often used in difficult conditions, out in the field, which can be muddy, cold and wet! They have to take quite a pounding at times, and can get damaged. While we make them as rugged as possible, occasionally they do need to be repaired, and as a UK manufacturer we not only supply, but we repair and overhaul your products – providing you with excellent customer service.
Our standard range of Water Level Dippers is from 10m up to 150m, providing a wide choice of units.
Longer versions of 200m and 300m are available on request
